Difficult:
I understand the idea of secret splitting but the threshold schemes don't really make sense. I can't really follow the examples very well. I know what they are trying to do but I had a really hard time figuring out exactly how either the Shamir or Lagrange interpolation polynomial actually work.
Reflective:
I think that the idea of secret splitting is very ingenious and it is amazing how much it is used. It seems like it is one of the most used application of cryptography that we see in movies. I do wonder how much it is actually used in real life and not just in fiction.
